Electronic Fuel Dispenser Coming to Delaware Twp.
By Heather Adams

Dingmans Ferry-Delaware Township is one step closer to a new fuel system in the maintenance yard.  During the June 25 township meeting, the Board of Supervisors approved a motion for Blue Ridge Cable to expand cable internet to the maintenance, which will enable the installation of security cameras, the FuelMaster system, and other potential expansions of their scanning system currently being implemented at Akenac Park.

The  $2,923.50 internet installation follows the approval of the FuelMaster system bid from the month’s previous township meeting.  The FuelMaster system will allow the township to track fuel usage by vehicle and enable more efficient ordering of fuel.  The Fire Company, Ambulance Corps, and the Township Road Department all currently use the fuel system at the maintenance yard.  Implementation of the FuelMaster system dependent on internet installation to the site, which will now move forward.
