Pike County Dispatch – Thursday, March 5, 2015
Dingmans Ferry-Delaware Township Supervisors opened bids for the Akenac Park Emergency Access Driveway Project at their regular township meeting last Feb. 25. Solicitor Tom Farley oversaw the reading of the bids, which were submitted electronically to Engineering Firm Boucher and James. Nine bids were received, ranging from $71, 943.12 to $193,370.72. The bids will be reviewed by township engineers and awarded at the next Township meeting on March 11.
Township Fees Updated
The Supervisors adopted Resolution 2015-07, updating the Township fee schedule. Building permit fees continue to be the same as listed in Resolution 2015-04. Retired Judge Steven McBride pointed out that temporary signs category excludes political signs. McBride also questioned the cost of site investigation for water and septic, which was listed as “$50 (minimum per hour)” similarly to spray irrigation, which was listed as “$35 (minimum per hour).” Farley and the Supervisors thanked McBride for his observation and said they would follow up with the inspectors for clarification and possible amendment.
