Township Road: A Delaware Township Encroachment Permit is required.
The following is a
step-by-step list of Delaware Township's Road Encroachment Procedures, fees, and other
notes that may assist you in understanding the regulations involved.
1. Applications may be obtained at the Township Office Monday through Friday, 8:30-3:00,
or by mail. A fee of $30 is required, and checks are payable to Delaware Township.
2. The Township requires a signed and dated, complete application; the necessary fee;
one recorded deed; one required Plot (site) Plan, drawn to scale, or one Survey with a
raised seal. The Plot Plan or Survey must show actual dimensions, shape of lot, size
and location of all structures, with right-of-way lines to adjacent property.
3. The Roadmaster will go to the site to view the staked driveway, and to make a
determination regarding the Permit Application. The approved application will then
be forwarded to the applicant.
4. When work is completed, the Roadmaster MUST be notified. He shall inspect the
completed work and, based on compliance, sign off on the Certificate of Occupancy.
