The Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) meets on the second Friday of each month at 6:30PM in the Delaware Township building. The powers of the Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) of Delaware Township include the following: Identification of natural resources within the Township. Identification of environmental problems. Preparation of an index of all areas, public or privately owned, including but not limited to, flood prone areas, swamps, and other unique natural areas. Recommendation of laws and programs for promotion and conservation of the natural resources and for the protection and improvement of the quality of the environment within the Township. Make recommendations as to the possible use of open lands within the Township. Promote a community environmental program. Advise regarding acquisition of property.
